Quality Engineer – Automation Testing

About the Role We are seeking a Quality Engineer – Automation Testing to join our team for a contract opportunity. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure application quality and reliability. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with Python • Perform UI, backend, and API testing to ensure application quality and reliability • Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting • Validate ETL processes and data pipelines for data accuracy and integrity • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and data engineers to define test strategies • Identify, track, and resolve defects throughout the testing lifecycle • Participate in test planning, test case design, and code reviews • Build and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks with high test coverage Requirements • 8–10 years of experience in automation testing • Proficiency in Playwright and Python • Experience with UI, backend, and API testing • Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting • Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipelines • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL • Experience working in Agile development environments • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
